Hyatt Place Panama City Beach / Beachfront

We had an amazing stay at this location. We chose to stay in a top floor ocean view, and it was a great choice. The stay was quiet, the staff and guests were great. This location is very convenient to shopping and dining needs. They do have covered parking that is just across the street from the hotel. It was very easy to drive up to the hotel, unload, and park across the way. The hotel was getting some work done around the pool area, but they kept everything clean, organized, and ready for guests to enjoy.

Beautiful hotel with very well kept rooms. Amazing sugar sand beaches. Heated pool with a small but relaxing lazy river and huge hot tub. Very friendly staff and delicious breakfast for a hotel complimentary breakfast. The only downside is crossing the busy road for parking in the garage. A nice walk to shopping nearby. Great location for Panama City Beach!

My husband, our toddler and I stayed here for 3 nights, it was a little getaway we booked to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel itself is gorgeous - roomy, airy, beautifully decorated, with ample comfortable seating available at the lobby overlooking the Gulf, with Starbucks and on-site restaurant... I could go on and on. There are 3 elevators and it is plenty to serve the entire hotel - we never had to wait long for one to arrive. Our room was thoroughly clean, bright, cool and quiet, it had an amazing view of the Gulf and there's seating on the balcony to soak it all in. The complimentary breakfast is delicious and full of choices, we especially enjoyed the yogurt with fruit compote and pastries on top of the classic eggs and sausages we ate first. The star of the show is definitely the pool - with lazy river no less! - we spent most of our time lounging on the pool deck and splashing in the pool with our toddler. The hot tub is great as well. The hotel has its own beach access and there are complimentary beach loungers and umbrellas available for guests. There's lots to do all within walking distance from the hotel - Alvin's Island across the street, many other shops and restaurants.

Room 223 - Queen room with 2 queen beds visited in November with 2 kids **Read tips & cons if traveling with children** My 1st time staying at a Hyatt - it's a new hotel 1.5 yr old. Beautiful view as soon as you walk in to check in!! They have a nice restaurant on site with outside seating & good breakfast. Hotel staff was very nice as well! Pool deck is beautiful has a bar down there. Again great staff - We had a clogged toilet & they were up to fix it within 10 minutes!! Definitely would stay again - it was very VERY nice & a great deal compared to all the other hotels around. Tips: •Bring a beach wagon if you've got kids. •Be sure when booking select GULF VIEW to have beachfront view. I was told this before I book from front desk & so glad he told me! Cons: •Parking garage is across the street. But easily accessible •Very small mini fridge •No microwave in room **I bought a lot of dry snack food for the week we stayed & kept a lot of food in our small cooler so it worked out. Ice machine & laundry was in our floor so was very convenient! I called a head of time to ask a few questions & the front desk warned me of the fridge & microwave since I had kids so I just planned to eat out everyday we were there but of course was pretty pricey.

Absolutely, the best part of this place is the staff, especially the breakfast staff. They went out of their way to make our experience excellent. We checked out super early and they brought us out a little to go meal and got us some coffee. The pool was fantastic and kid friendly and the beach access was great. If I come back to PCB, this may be my first choice. Our room was just an average room, but very clean. Nothing special. If PCB is your type of vacation spot then the location was perfect. It’s just a busier area than our preferred beach vacations.

Beautiful hotel. Must stay beach side, so worth the extra $30 per day. The pool felt amazing! We were greeted every time we passed a member of staff. This hotel is clean with a beautiful view! Breakfast was good, any food that was running out was refilled immediately. Great location, you can walk down beachfront rd to several surrounding businesses. Overall 10/10

The hotel was very nice and the front desk reps were mostly nice friendly and accommodating. We had a suite and it was very nice but cleaning was lacking. Bathroom flood was sticky and dirty in places and hair left on the floor. Kitchen area shelf was dirty, not been wiped in a while. I cleaned the bathroom floor with a wash cloth and it was black when I finished. I did show a picture of it to the manager. We had complained of a dog constantly barking across the hall. Had to put up with that for a couple of days. For a nonsmoking hotel there was a lot of smoking. We couldn't enjoy setting out on our balcony because people were smoking on their balconies not only cigarettes but Marijuana. When we complained they said unless we knew where it was coming from the couldn't do anything about. Plus we had to put up with smoking at the pool which signs clearly said no smoking in pool area. No staff was there to monitor the pool area. We shouldn't have to report who is breaking the rules. We did speak to the manager about our complaints and he did apologized but that didn't make up for all the inconveniences that took place. Our vacation was ruined because I ended up being sick because of the exposure to smoking. I have asthma and lung blockages and that's why we make sure there is no smoking. If you say the hotel is nonsmoking then you should be monitoring and enforcing your rules. No one was ever at the pool only bar servers who didn't seem to mind the smoking. We were so looking forward to our beach trip, paid a lot of money to stay 8 nights only to be bothered by barking dog, smoking and dirty room. Really disappointed.
